PAMAS SBSS / Reference particle counting

Programmable analysis.
No operator required.

Liquid particle counting up to 10 bar, 1,600 cSt
Fully compliant with ISO 21501, ISO 4402, and ISO 11171

PAMAS SBSS reference liquid particle counting system

A reference system for testing laboratories

The PAMAS SBSS is fully compliant with ISO 21501, ISO 4402, and ISO 11171. The PAMAS SBSS is the standard liquid particle counter used as a reference in many testing labs. The particle count measurement instrument may be programmed to measure a sample without the need of an operator.

Automated sample preparation

Prefill. Pressurize.
Measure. Relieve.

One programmed sequence, start to finish, without an operator in the loop.

The system can prefill the internal dead volume, pressurize the sample for a number of measurement runs, and relieve pressure at the end. For preparation, a pump including an air dryer is available to degas the sample with vacuum and to filter and dry the compressed air.

Key system benefits.

Its high accuracy and repeatability, fast purging, and backflush possibility are the key benefits of the system.

Built in

  • High accuracy and repeatability
  • Fast purging
  • Backflush possibility

Precision + Range

One counter.
Three sensor options.

Three interchangeable sensor modules cover different needs: the standard PAMAS HCB-LD-50/50 spans 4–70 µm(c) per ISO 11171 (1–100 µm per ISO 4402, 1–200 µm per ISO 21501-3) at up to 24,000 P/mL; the PAMAS HCB-LD-25/25 covers the same size range at up to 120,000 P/mL for higher-concentration samples; and the PAMAS SLS-25/25 narrows to 1.5–25 µm(c) per ISO 11171 for fine-particle work. Counting runs across 8, 16, or 32 free-adjustable size channels, shown on a backlit 320×240 graphical display, with an integrated 32-column thermoprinter and data transfer over RS-232C.

Built for reference-grade work.

Pressure and viscosity headroom is set by the pump configuration fitted, up to the system's full 10 bar and 1,600 cSt ceiling.

At a glance

  • Pressure up to 10 bar
  • Viscosity up to 1,600 cSt
  • 8, 16, or 32 adjustable channels
  • RS-232C data transfer
