Accurate. Adaptive. Accessible.
The practical design of this falling ball Viscometer guarantees compliance with DIN 53 015 standards, for determining dynamic viscosities of Newtonian fluids ranging from 0.5 to 100.000 mPa.s (cP).
Designed with accuracy in mind, viscosities are determined by measuring the movement of a ball through a calibrated, fluid-filled fall tube. The stop pin permits reversal of movement for measurement of the return constant. The Höppler falling sphere viscometer comes equipped with 6 gaged balls (2 Borosilicate glass, 2 nickel iron alloy, and 2 stainless steel) for use with various fluids across a wide range of viscosities and fall times.
The versatile falling ball viscometer comprises a Pyrex glass water jacket which, when connected to the thermostatic bath, permits a temperature range from -20º to +120ºC (-4 to +248ºF). This Höppler viscometer comes complete with support mount, bubble level, and leveling screws for superior stability and is available in two models: 320 and 330 (heated). Table electronic temperature regulation in the 330 model maintains ±0.1ºC, providing superior stability.
