										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The versatile design of the Cloud and Pour Point Apparatus and conventional refrigerators guarantees compliance with requirements ASTM D97, IP 15, and ISO 301 for all petroleum products, including black specimens, cylinder stock, and nondistallate fuel oil; ASTM D2500, IP 219, EN 23015, and ISO 3015 for petroleum products and biodiesel fuels that are transparent in layers 40 mm in thickness , and with a cloud point below 49 C; and ASTM D5853 and IP 441 for determining the pour point of crude oils at temperatures as low as -36C.</p>
<p>The cloud and pour point apparatus is available in 6 models: model 490/HS/140 with 4 positions operating at temperatures as low as -69C; model 500/S with 4 positions each for 4 different temperatures (0, -18, -33, and -51C); model 510/S with 4 positions each for 3 different temperatures (0, -18, and -33C); model 520/S with 4 positions each for 5 different temperatures (0, -18, -33, 52, and -69C); model 530/S with 4 positions each for 6 temperatures ( 50, 0, -18, -33, -33, -51, and -69C); and model 540, the conventional cloud and pour point apparatus, operating at temperatures as low as -69C with dry ice.</p>
<p>Designed for simple use at extremely low temperatures, the cloud and pour point refrigerators are each equipped with an automatic defrosting mechanism and a digital thermoregulator fitted with a PT100 A temperature probe, ensuring stable temperatures as low as -69 C. Additional features of the cloud and pour point apparatus include a glossy black PVC cover with small stand-by covers and aluminum blocks with holes to accommodate graduated jars.</p>
<p>The cloud point refrigerators are equipped with four wheels and brakes for easy mobility around thelaboratory. The instruments are sealed with an anti-acid epoxidic coat, preventing corrosive damage andensuring durability for years to come. Because operator safety is crucial, the cloud point tester&#8217;s refrigerators are fitted with an earth leakage circuit, and refrigerant gases are CFC-free.</p>

They are fully compliant withASTM D97, D2500, D5853, D6371, D6422 etc. It is the latest version of the DR4 and DR5 series. They can test either cloud and pour point,CFPP, or freeze point.The DR6 and DR7 series has a state-of-the-art cooling system that allows a wide temperature range from -120C to  35C. It cools at a rate of 1 C in 5 seconds or less. It maintains temperature of  &#8211; 1C.</p>

<p>A wide variety of refrigerated water bath models are available with working temperature ranges from  48 to -69 C to test cloud point, pour point, and cold filter plugging point of petroleum products. Each multi-bath unit conforms to ASTM D97 pour point and ASTM D2500 cloud point test methods and related methods. Each stainless steel liquid bath has its own digital indicating PID temperature controller with 0.1 C resolution, providing temperature stability of 1.5 C. The baths of select models are agitated for improved temperature stability (0.5 C) and uniformity, making them suitable for ASTM D6371 (or IP309) cold filter plugging point test with the addition of the CFPP kit (see options tab).</p>
<p>Each refrigerated water bath comes equipped with 4 metal test jackets, 4 cork rings, 4 O-rings, and 4 cork stoppers for the thermometer (test tube is available separately). All units are mechanically refrigerated using ozone friendly non-CFC and non-HCFC refrigerants, making the instruments a sustainable choice in petroleum testing.</p>

Adhering to ASTM D2983, the liquid baths come in bench top and floor models, allowing superior data </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">r</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">eproducibility and repeatability, in contrast to air chamber methods.</span></p>
<p>Using Windows-based PC proprietary software, two baths can be controlled simultaneously, allowing the baths to operate at two independent temperatures with independent start, stop, and duration times. The operating temperature range of the programmable liquid baths is 20 to -55C, with a temperature control within 0.1C. The liquid baths are programmed to ensure that sample cooling rates equal the same cooling rates identified when a sample is immersed in the constant low temperature air chamber. The baths also can be programmed to cool at a rate of 1C per minute from ambient to as low as -55C as per CEC-L-18A, ISO 9262, and IP 267 for the measurement of European low temperature Brookfield viscosity.</p>
<p>Holding about 3 liters of bath medium, the bath is an unsilvered, illuminated Dewar jar that allows full visibility of the test samples to facilitate the proper position of the spindle bead immersion level. The turntable, which holds 10 test samples, is manually rotated until the proper test cell is under the viscometer after proper conditioning time, The spindle is connected while the sample is in the liquid bath, allowing viscosity measurement without removing the sample from the temperature-controlled environment.</p>
<p><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Duplicate samples at -40C were measured in a Model 76 Liquid Programmable Bath. Of the 56 samples, the average variability between the duplicate samples was 1.13% of mean. This compares favorably to the method?s stated precision of 11.8%. The key factor in the improved precision is the superior temperature control of the sample as its viscosity is being measured. </span></i><br />

<p>TANAKA?s MPC series of cloud point testers and pour point analyzers have been designed for automatic determination of POUR POINT (PP) and CLOUD POINT (CP) with small specimen size and shorter test cycle time while securing better test precision than the conventional manual methods.</p>
<p>PP measurement is by ?AIR PRESSURE METHOD? (ASTM D6749), and CP measurement is by ?SMALL TEST JAR METHOD? (ASTM D7683).</p>
